Join York's Department of French Studies to celebrate University's Inaugural Week of Francophonie

York’s Departments of French Studies at Glendon and LA&PS invite you to celebrate French-speaking cultures of the world during our University’s first ever Week of Francophonie!

York University Announces New President and Vice-Chancellor

Toronto, ON - Feb. 28, 2017 – Today, Rick Waugh, Chair of York University’s Board of Governors, announced the appointment of Dr. Rhonda Lenton as the next President and Vice-Chancellor of York University, effective July 1, 2017, for a five-year term. Lenton becomes York’s eighth president, succeeding Dr. Mamdouh Shoukri.

York University and Markham Public Library launch inaugural York University Scholars Hub speakers series

York University and the Markham Public Library are partnering to bring some of York’s top academic minds to York Region at the Markham Public Library’s in 2017. The York University Scholars Hub speakers series launches with a 6 month theme around Neuroscience. The Scholars Hub Speaker series will take place at the Markham Village Branch on the second Thursday of each month, located at 6031 Highway 7. Each talk starts at 7:00pm until 8:30pm, and for added convenience, childcare is provided.
